Michele Meatloaf Ceramicats is one of my favorite bands in Gainesville. High energy, tight progressions and they trade instruments during their live performances, which is fun! Favorite track: Jelly Road.

Max Dread I have really been enjoying this release. It does not start off with the album's strongest track, but then it really takes off. (And that first track has grown on me more and more.) The overall vibe of the record is fun/happy and rocking. The songs are upbeat, driving forward, and fairly short. The guitar work is sort of Sonic Youth riffing filtered through an indie rock sensibility. Tight bass/drum work. The lyrics are personal without being cloying. Great hooks that stick with you. Get it! Favorite track: Family.
